Spirit Airlines seats: operating status and historical maps

Current operating status comes before a historical seat guide. Spirit’s former cabins must not be presented as current bookable flights.

Spirit’s published operating status

Spirit’s company announcement dated May 2, 2026 states that it began an immediate operational wind-down and canceled flights. This guide therefore does not offer current Spirit seat-selection advice or present an old cabin as an active operating fleet.

Why an old diagram is insufficient

A historical seat map can describe an earlier aircraft but cannot establish a flight that is operating today. Old seat fees, product names and numbered layouts must be dated and scoped as history before being used in a passenger guide.

Choose a guide for the operating carrier

For a current itinerary, identify the airline actually operating the service and use its current booking and cabin information. The aircraft directory can help locate checked maps for other operators. A separate historical Spirit article would require a clearly dated purpose and supporting sources.
